When I think of sin I think of an ocean, with us sitting chained, defiantly at the bottom.  I see God gently calling onto the surface of the waters.  (scratch that… I see him diving in to rescue us…)  I see our arms slowly unfolding and our chains releasing from around our ankles.  And I see us floating with him to the surface of the waters.  And he takes us to dry land to begin our journey with him.

And yet we turn and walk toward the ocean of sin… and see how close we can get.  Sticking our toes in wet sand.  Sticking our toes in the water’s edge.

But God has not rescued us so that we could feel comfortable at the shoreline… slowly toeing the line between devotion and sin…

He has brought us out to run freely, unhindered, with endurance away from our ocean of sin.  He takes us across dry land in pursuit of new, clearer waters.

Maybe it’s just me, but there is just something about the name WordPress that makes me want to write.  WordPress. Word press. I feel like if I ever get writer’s block (so, tomorrow) I can just say “WordPress” and be instantly healed.  Hopefully, WordPress will continue to have this effect on me.  Hopefully, everytime I type in this web address and access my WordPress account, I will automatically be inspired to write with brilliance worthy of the internet.  Hopefully, I will remember my account name and password.
